Runlight is a free and open source web analytics that runs inside your app and keeps its numbers in your own database. It counts visits, referrers, pages, places, devices, campaigns, and AI agents, all without cookies or stored personal data.
It installs like a package and mounts a dashboard at /runlight. A standalone server is also available. Setup is meant to be small: one package, one route, and a script tag. It supports JavaScript frameworks and a long list of server stacks, including PHP, Python, Ruby, Go, Java, .NET, Elixir, Rust, WordPress, Drupal, and Craft CMS.
The dashboard lives in your app and shows live activity, recent traffic, and filters for the main dimensions. Runlight is MIT licensed, and the script is under 2kb gzipped.
